While You Were Out... (By Raph)

This past year has been the renaissance of Hip-Hop, its not like good music ever went away it just seemed like the volume of new artists and dope material greatly diminished. However this year has seen an explosion of fresh artists onto the scene, many bringing something unique to the game. Over the next couple weeks, I'll post mixtapes and albums from these new artists. So first up is Wale from Washington D.C. reppin the whole DMV area (DC, MD, VA), I'm sure many of you have heard of him and some of his songs ("Nike Boots" and "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E." are his most famous), there might even already be some serious Wale fans amongst you. For those who are still in the dark about him, he is raw. Not only is his flow tight, his wordplay smart but his songs are really creative, often incorporating sound bites from current events, TV Shows and moments from his life (Clearly an inspiration from Little Brother another great southern/east coast act). Two songs really stuck out to me "ADD" and "ADD Pt. II", so def check those, ther a lil' something different. I'm not gonna keep riding his jock as my bruh anthony would say, because i honestly dont need to. His music speaks for itself. Eargasms a plenty.
